ESHTE Project National Advisory Committee holds its Summer Meeting 2018
The Ending Sexual Violence and Harassment in Third-Level Education (ESHTE) team held a recent National Advisory Committee (NAC) meeting on 9 August 2018.
The meeting with our Irish stakeholders and associate partners was very productive and will help to advance the next stages of the ESHTE project outputs, including the #ItStopsNow campaign, staff training modules and toolkit.
The NAC consists of a variety of third-level institutes, student unions, non-governmental organisations (NGOS), and statutory and non-statutory bodies from across Ireland, including Cosc (Department of Justice) and the Garda Síochána. We are delighted to have the support of frontline service providers like the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre and Cork Centre for Sexual Violence.
The NAC offers a unique opportunity to gather interested stakeholders and higher education institutes around the table to tackle the issue of sexual violence and harassment in third level education as a collective body, in a collborative way for the first time.
Thank you to our NAC members for your ongoing support and input.
